Sustainability
We are happy to answer any question related to our sustainability policies and programs.
There is no good innovation if it is not sustainable. Therefore, Ebro Ingredients works hard to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the UN established in its 2015 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Particularly, we work on 11 goals focused on guaranteeing food safety and promoting sustainable agriculture and production processes, while protecting our communities and fighting climate change. Smart agriculture

Sustainable and efficient
Our journey covers eco-friendly and innovative agriculture, fundamental ingredients research, pilot upscaling and also in-depth application work, in order to present a complete solution to our clients, while guaranteeing sustainability, community empowerment and innovation.
Often co-programs in research & development of food products are conducted to design tailor made ingredients based on our customers needs, as well as to ensure respect for the environment and to the communities involved during the process.
Sustainable innovation
Ebro Ingredients works hand in hand with its suppliers, meeting the highest sustainability standards.
We start at the first level, acquiring our crops directly from growers, guaranteeing a price that will give them adequate return so they can reinvest in better and more sustainable and innovative practices.
Also, when planning the sown, we make sure that we choose the most eco-friendly varieties to protect the environment in which they are grown.
We are committed to integrated production, which allows us to reduce the use of fertilizers and of pesticides, contributing in this way to protect biodiversity.
Special contract growing projects are in place in several countries in the world where we cultivate our own raw materials, following the principles mentioned above.
This is the case of rice, quinoa, and several pulses. Within these growing programs full traceability, sustainability certification, organic certification, and baby-food quality are all possible.
An example of this is our rice fields in Southern Spain, where we cultivate rice and organic rice for the baby food industry. This rice does not only have full traceability, from seed to ingredient, but is also grown under sustainable conditions, according to the FSA (Farm Sustainable Assessment) initiative. Ask us for more information about our ´from seed to ingredient´ programs.
We have 2 R&D centers with fully equipped pilot plants
